You know what gets me every time? You keep talking with this awesome, fast, sarcastic style of yours, and then at some point, you throw in a nice little positive thing, out of the blue.

You know what my problem is with your videos? I rate them at 5 stars half way through, then watch the rest of the video, and here comes another half video of AWESOME, and I cannot give you any more stars.

Interesting approach, but what about communication? I think those you end up close to are the ones that you can (not necessarily from the beginning, but eventually) communicate with. And no, I don;t believe you can (learn to) communicate with everyone at the same level.

Anyway, great work, as always! And very enjoyable style :)

A decent parody

Most of the parts you have included have been made fun of already, but you touched a few new aspects. The art was decent, and the music was indeed very nice.

I also HAD to give you a higher score since you resisted the urge to make an arrow to the knee joke.

There we are...

I have been longing for a clean 10/10 animation, and here it is! You were kind enough to make one for us ^^

It is clear that all parts were worked well, from the backgrounds, characters and animation to the plot, humor and general concept. Therefore, I have hardly any suggestions related to these aspects of the movie.

Only one little humble suggestion: since your work is extraordinary, try to avoid wadding into too many cliches, or it might cost you in originality... I did enjoy your castle crashers came-o, though, as well as the "evil-king-advisor" joke! I would enjoy more of these quick humorous quicks.

Great work! We are absolutely looking forward to the next...

i know what u mean with cliches, but truly thats what this series is BUILT on. to mock those cliches. i'll definitely be struggling to bring you all origianl characters and such but hey, everyone needs an evil plotting overlord, a naive king and a flawed hero! thank you for your words!

Good but for a few problems

The animation was very good and the humor was much appreciated. However, I have had a few problems with the movie:

1. There was no sound. Was this indeed the case or was it a problem of my machine? If it was intentional, you should seriously consider putting some sound on the movie.

2. The replay button leads to the middle of the movie instead of the start. Not a big flaw in my opinion, but it shouldn't take more than a few seconds to fix it, so you could do it.

3. Rather than a flaw, this would be a stylistic thing, but a few scenes seemed a little too fast-paced. Even though I liked the fact that the movie was quick and thus did not bore, some scenes could have been a little less rushed.

I rated this with a 7 despite the problems. However, I would really hope to see this re-submitted with sound. Keep up the good work, I enjoyed your style very much ;)

1. It seems the entire Newgrounds community would agree with you. I didn't want to slap on crappy sounds (pun intended?) and I don't have much experience in sounds design.

2.I'll need to fix that. I'll update that seeing as how its a non sound related problem.

3.I was afraid it would be too fast but it beats the alternative and I felt slowing down the animation looked too slow. I very well could add more pauses but that's something I'll keep in mind for future animations.

4. Thanks for taking the time for a good critique. Its always refreshing to see someone who isn't just praising or bashing without any explanation.

I hope I can find someone who likes to do do sound because sound is something I'd like to think about.

I don't understand why you say you are not happy with the entertainment, story, etc., etc. The way I saw the movie, it was about atmosphere, not about being excellent in one of the fields you mention. As I watched it, it travelled me to another world, and I believe this to be enough for a short animation clip.

Choice of characters was good, choice of music was good, it had no uneccessary violence, it had an optimistic ending, and above all, you kept the minimal at that level; minimal is minimal, nothing more, nothing less.

Yes, please do work in that line and give us another. It is something missing from short animations of the kind.

You should try Mousaka for dinner tonight. Mousaka rocks ;)

WTF.

I strongly believe the fact that we liked this movie to be one of the signs of apocalypse. I thus expect the end to be close at hand. It was a pleasure knowing you all.

P.S.: I would give you a 10 even if only for the scene with the opium. I laughed my brains out.
